ERG's Innovators’ Forum to expand its scope

18 October 2017, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan - On November 3, 2017, Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group, will hold its 2nd Innovators’ Forum in Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan. This year, the Forum will expand beyond an internal event: its plenary session will be attended by external visitors from a number of foreign countries and different organisations. Approximately 300 employees from ERG's various enterprises in Kazakhstan and overseas will take part in innovation competitions as part of the Forum.

The Forum’s programme will include a competition of the most innovative ideas for operational excellence, the headline Business Process Optimisation contest, a hackathon for IT specialists and production workers and training sessions on a range of topics. In addition, as part of the Forum, ERG will hold its first-ever contest between social projects aimed at providing technical solutions for an urban improvement.

The plenary session of the Forum is expected to be attended by high profile business and political figures including Aslanbek Amrin, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Sanzhar Kettebekov, CEO of the Tech Garden Innovative Technologies Fund; Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group, along with other leading experts in the mining and metals sector. They will discuss existing challenges and solutions that Industry 4.0 offers.
