Since 2001, EEC has been implementing an ambitious programme to rehabilitate generating units of the Aksu Power Plant. To date, comprehensive modernization of five out of eight units has been completed. As a result of the works performed, the installed capacity of the plant now totals 2,450 MW. Rehabilitation of the generating units is aimed at increasing the reserve capacity of the power plant, the reliability and durability of equipment, improving production performance and making it environmentally friendly.
