Eurasian Resources Group supported the first ever Kazakh meet-up in Luxembourg
Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources group headquartered in Luxembourg, is pleased to announce that, together with the Association of Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Coopération, it organised “Apero with Kazakhs”, the first ever Kazakh meet-up in Luxembourg.
The event, which was supported by Mr Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of ERG and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, was attended by senior members of the Luxembourg business and diplomatic community including Mrs Aigul Kuspan, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as well as Kazakhs living and working in Luxembourg.
Mr Benedikt Sobotka, CEO of Eurasian Resources Group, said: “We are grateful to have represented Kazakh business in Luxembourg during these past five years – and to continue to do so. We are committed to fostering bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg and enriching the experience of Kazakh nationals in the country. In this spirit, we are pleased to support the initiative of the Association of Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Coopération. Kazakhstan is core to ERG’s business and its strategic assets. The Group and its entities have been successfully investing in the social and economic development of Kazakhstan for the last 25 years.”
The occasion offered an opportunity for Kazakhs living in Luxembourg to socialise among their compatriots and aimed to strengthen the cultural ties between the two countries.
Mrs Nurgul Tursin, President of the Association of Kazakhstan-Luxembourg Coopération, said: “The event was carried out with a view to bringing together the communities of the two countries, creating networking and socialising opportunities, and welcoming Kazakh nationals some of whom have arrived into Luxembourg recently. The mission of the association is achieved through donations and external support and that is why ERG’s sponsorship is important for its goals”.
Founded in Luxembourg in January 2019, the association has already carried out a range of events, including the celebration of Nauryz for its members. In the near future, the association is planning the first Kazakh movie screening in Luxembourg, an exhibition of Kazakh contemporary art and other events aimed at introducing Kazakh culture in Luxembourg.
